	You know, wanted to do bid bonds, so Kim Reid Kim put some language into the addendum to allow forbid bonds, but that to make them	00:06:41

	And then have them, you know, move into housing out in the community and then we would be able to bring Northview Heights over.	00:13:46
	Clearview is not mandated but the services we provide.	00:13:54
	Are mandated to be paid for by the county, so like in our behavioral Health Center.	00:13:57

	And Clearview, we take no levy and we absorb it's about $800,000.	00:14:08

	And we're absorbing, you know, close to $1,000,000 for Human Services and with the doubling of the behavioral health.	00:14:23

	Yeah, I understand that part about it. But I mean and again, if great Northview Heights is not mandated, but we would be able to	00:14:32

	And it would be no cost to put that levee area, but that's not a definite you're gonna do that though.	00:14:40
	So I mean, what I'm seeing again, what I'm seeing is forward thinking, yeah.	00:14:48

	Because there is some cost and modifications to Ed's building to move those people there to meet.	00:15:30
	The state codes for a CBRF, so there there is some costs that would be incurred there and and.	00:15:37
	We would get a number from them for that. The costs are fairly negligible. They're just, you know, more to comply with the life	00:15:43
	safety codes with fire alarms and things like that.	00:15:48
	But to your point about letting private sector take, I can tell you right now that population in our CBRF is not like you find in	00:15:54
	the typical CBRF you would have.	00:15:59
	You're not going to find a buyer for that license and you're going to have difficulty placing them.	00:16:03
	And that's almost entirely vaginary residents so.	00:16:08
	You know, in terms of a service to the community.	00:16:11
	Keep that in the back of your mind.	00:16:14
	So I think we're kind of jumping the gun a little bit. I think the next step we should wait for is first.	00:16:15

	What their different scenarios on holiday and former construction and I'm always looking and there's nothing wrong with that	00:16:24

	OK, so we just got done with our annual pod cleaning.	00:18:00

	Earlier this week we had a ADRC van driver drive through the shed wall up at Henry Dodge.	00:18:14
	Oops, not good. The shed is not in great shape to begin with, and now it's in much worse shape. You want to go to the second	00:18:23

	So we had to try to push the wall back in as best we can and try to.	00:18:36
	Seal that up as best we can, but.	00:18:41

	That's what it looks like after we clean it all off.	00:19:40
	So you don't repaint it, you just take the graffiti off with cleaners or do you? Right We we clean.	00:19:43
	We do make a list of cells that do need painting and things like that, but our focus there is to get in there, get the cells	00:19:50
	clean, get the inmate back in there, move on to the next one, you know?	00:19:56

	You can see that that one actually has some paint that is bubbling.	00:20:15
	This is a problem in certain areas of the jail. There were certain areas that were.	00:20:19
	Primed and painted when the weather was very cold when the building was built.	00:20:25
	And we've had issues in a couple of different sections of the jail over the years with bubbling paint.	00:20:29
	So the guys do make a list of that and as time permits this summer they will go through those cells.	00:20:35
	And they will.	00:20:42
	Chip or sand that all off, depending on whether we use a needle scaler or a grinder with a sanding disc on it or whatever will	00:20:44
	grind that all down smooth and we will repaint.	00:20:48
	The cells as necessary in certain areas where there is a lot of that going on.	00:20:54
	Then one of the other things they do is.	00:21:02
	They take each smoke detector out of the ductwork for each cell and you can see that there's a gets a lot of dirt and stuff in	00:21:04
	there for the return air vent.	00:21:08
	For the cell, they take that all apart, blow that all out with compressed air.	00:21:13
	And then put that all back together and remount it in the ductwork when they're done.	00:21:18
	That's what it looks like after it's all cleaned up.	00:21:25
	They also do go through each section with a lift up on the ceiling.	00:21:29
	Vacuum on the ceiling tiles while the return vents.	00:21:34
	D Stratification fans up on the ceiling. They vacuum all those off and clean the light fixtures out and all that sort of thing in	00:21:38
	each of the.	00:21:41
	The housing pods also, so that's what we just got.	00:21:44
	Done with that we've been doing for the last six weeks in the housing pods.	00:21:48
	What else have we got going on Well?	00:21:56
	We just installed a new garbage disposal in the kitchen. The other one was only a few years old. Unfortunately it was shot	00:22:00
	already.	00:22:04
	That was about $3600 and I believe I'm going to seek jail improvement funds to pay for that replacement there.	00:22:08
	Depending on a couple other things though.	00:22:20
	We did have our smaller we have two large washing machines and a smaller one.	00:22:23
	The smaller one did take a dump this week. We burnt out a motor down in the bottom of the machine.	00:22:28
	The machine needs to be pretty much disassembled to repair that.	00:22:35
	There's a lot of things in there that once you take it apart.	00:22:41
	Bearings and shafts and things like that. Usually they do not come apart very well and they need to be replaced also.	00:22:44
	I did not get the quote back yet, but.	00:22:51
	Just a ballpark estimate was somewhere in the six to $8000 range to repair the machine.	00:22:54
	They also did note that the frame on it does have a crack in the steel.	00:23:00
	So they are also going to get us a quote on a replacement washing machine to see how that compares to the cost of the repairs.	00:23:04
	I just an FYI, all three of our washing machines and all three of our commercial dryers.	00:23:14
	Our 25 years old. They are all original. They are all used seven days a week.	00:23:20
	So we've gotten very good service out of the equipment that we have there, but.	00:23:27
	It may be time to replace the smaller unit, I do not know, but.	00:23:32
	Once we get the.	00:23:37
	Cost estimate on that we'll make a decision and.	00:23:38
	We'll see. So that may take jail improvement funds also off of that.	00:23:42
	We recently had an HVAC controller go out in the administration building here.	00:23:51
	We're still getting a price on a rebuild of our controller, but if we cannot get it rebuilt.	00:23:59
	Troller itself, it's just a little small thing.	00:24:05
	Hangs on the wall. It's $15,000.	00:24:08
	Wow. And again, I did not have money budgeted for that. So we may see how that goes. And at the end of the year I may need to ask	00:24:12
	for some contingency dollars, but we do need to replace that controller, but.	00:24:18
	We'll wait till we get the quote back on seeing what it would cost to reap.	00:24:25
	Pair our existing one versus buying a new one.	00:24:29
	I think the new ones come with a three-year warranty, the repair ones come with a one year. So we got to factor that into that	00:24:34

	So we'll see where that all ends up here in the next week or so.	00:24:42
	Surefire has installed the air conditioner unit at the Sheriff's Office. That was a smaller 50 ton one that we're going to do last	00:24:47
	fall.	00:24:50
	When they pulled the freon out of the old unit, the intent was to reuse it.	00:24:56
	However, they said that just based on the site glass.	00:25:00
	And what they saw through there, it looked like the Freon was very used up. The site glass was very black inside.	00:25:05
	And Surefire is not recommending that we reuse that freon.	00:25:12
	So the cost to replace, that's about 3200.	00:25:18
	However.	00:25:22
	One of the two.	00:25:24
	Circuits in there also has a leak. They pumped it up with nitrogen.	00:25:26
	And one of the circuits did leak.	00:25:30
	Some nitrogen out and they're not sure where it is because the.	00:25:33
	Piping did not show any residual from.	00:25:37
	Oil from the Freon leaking out from when it was running previously.	00:25:40
	So they're not really sure where the leak is.	00:25:45
	They are still coming up with a game plan on it, but what they're thinking is that they would like to.	00:25:48
	Split that circuit in half and cap off both ends and then pressurize half of it this way, half of it the other way, and see which	00:25:54
	half is leaking and try to narrow it down that way.	00:25:59
	To actually find where the freon leak is.	00:26:04
	So all told, it's probably going to be 4500 to $5000 additional.	00:26:08
	Now that unit was replaced with ARPA money, but there was no ARPA contingency with it.	00:26:15
	So that's going to have to come out of my repair accounts to fund the rest of whatever we need to do with that.	00:26:20
	Air conditioner unit to get it up and functioning.	00:26:26

	Yes, it's not on the new unit itself, but it's somewhere in the piping.	00:26:33

	Our spring ice inspection was completed today. The inspectors found no maintenance related violations or anything noted on the	00:28:21

	Facility and our policies, procedures, our chemical handling, maintenance issues, all that sort of thing was all good.	00:28:32
	And then a couple weeks ago, myself and the sheriff and Judge Sasha.	00:28:42

	A lady from the Capitol Police Department, she toured the entire building.	00:28:51
	She gave us a lot of suggestions on the security desk and some other things that we could do inside the building.	00:28:56

	Back to the court security committee, probably sometime in the next couple of weeks. She said it would take her about a month to	00:29:09

	In Branch 1 and Judge Fitzgerald Courtroom, there is a built-in Colt rack in the back of the room.	00:29:22

	We did take those off and we purchased some non removable hangers like you would find in a hotel room.	00:29:32
	Reason being that you just can't walk back there and you're not happy with the judge and start throwing hangers up there at the	00:29:39

	So the guys do make a list of that and as time permits this summer they will go through those cells.	00:20:35

	Chip or sand that all off, depending on whether we use a needle scaler or a grinder with a sanding disc on it or whatever will	00:20:44
	grind that all down smooth and we will repaint.	00:20:48

	They take each smoke detector out of the ductwork for each cell and you can see that there's a gets a lot of dirt and stuff in	00:21:04

	For the cell, they take that all apart, blow that all out with compressed air.	00:21:13
	And then put that all back together and remount it in the ductwork when they're done.	00:21:18

	Vacuum on the ceiling tiles while the return vents.	00:21:34
	D Stratification fans up on the ceiling. They vacuum all those off and clean the light fixtures out and all that sort of thing in	00:21:38

	Bearings and shafts and things like that. Usually they do not come apart very well and they need to be replaced also.	00:22:44

	Just a ballpark estimate was somewhere in the six to $8000 range to repair the machine.	00:22:54
	They also did note that the frame on it does have a crack in the steel.	00:23:00

	Surefire has installed the air conditioner unit at the Sheriff's Office. That was a smaller 50 ton one that we're going to do last	00:24:47

	When they pulled the freon out of the old unit, the intent was to reuse it.	00:24:56
	However, they said that just based on the site glass.	00:25:00
	And what they saw through there, it looked like the Freon was very used up. The site glass was very black inside.	00:25:05
	And Surefire is not recommending that we reuse that freon.	00:25:12
	So the cost to replace, that's about 3200.	00:25:18

	Circuits in there also has a leak. They pumped it up with nitrogen.	00:25:26
