OK, Marie, you're up. 00:00:01
The joke in our office was that if you. 00:00:08
Switch the meeting date. Cindy's not available, but I said it was great for me because I have to go to my national conference next 00:00:11
week and Patty's at hers this week, so. 00:00:15
But I wanted to share a little bit because October is national 4H week month. 00:00:20
And so the October 5th to 11th we celebrated National 4H Week. One of the things that I did was. 00:00:25
Go talk to Wally. 00:00:32
On daily Dodge or hometown today for he gave me both halves. 00:00:34
So I was there from like 9:00 until. 00:00:40
1050 or 950 talking to him. 00:00:43
But one of the exciting things that happened this year that I have not seen in Wisconsin is that. 00:00:45
Governor Evers proclaimed National 4H Week in the state and so that was really exciting that he recognized that. 00:00:50
National level. 00:00:58
But a couple of the things that I just wanted to share with you because I haven't, I don't always have a chance to talk about. 00:01:00
4H and what our program looks like. 00:01:06
So last year, we're still in the middle of enrollment right now. So I only have about 300. 00:01:09
But last year we had 630 young people in the 4H program. 00:01:14
And one of the questions that one of the clubs got when they were doing. 00:01:18
Promotions in the school during National 4H week was. 00:01:24
About. 00:01:28
Backgrounds of people. 00:01:29
Because they're like, I thought you had to live in a farm. And so we shared some of that in the news releases that we sent out. 00:01:31
46% of our. 00:01:37
Youth are females and 53% are males, so we're pretty evenly split in the program. 00:01:40
But if you look at the community baked. 00:01:47
Breakdowns. 53% live in towns under 10,000, which that's pretty much everywhere but Beaver Dam. 00:01:49
33% live in towns or cities between 10 and 50,000. 00:01:57
And. 00:02:02
13 Oh no and 13% live over 50,000 so I'm guessing that is the Beaver Dam population. 00:02:03
So really letting people know that you can live in a rural area and be involved in the 4H program without having to live on a farm 00:02:10
is kind of the myth that. 00:02:14
We were trying to take away with some of the community server or the things that were going out that this year during National 4H 00:02:18
Week. 00:02:21
And two other pieces of kind of researchy things, but I don't often share them with you. 00:02:25
But we sent them out with part of the news release as well is. 00:02:31
The focus from the national 4H was called Beyond Ready. So it's really making young people ready for the community that they're 00:02:36
going to move into. 00:02:40
Being ready to be leaders in their community. We have officer training tonight, so yeah, getting ready for all of those different 00:02:44
roles that they take on. 00:02:48
And. 00:02:52
A few years ago we had a preliminary study from Tufts Research and then they followed up and finished their research. 00:02:54
And what their research has proven about 4H because they compared 4H. 00:03:01
Young people and people that were not in the 4H program. 00:03:07
In that study of positive youth development. 00:03:10
It said that nearly three times. 00:03:13
Our youth are used are nearly three times more likely to participate in community service, which is probably not a surprise to 00:03:16
many of you. You've seen roadsides. 00:03:20
Youth do roadside cleanups and one club actually participated in the statewide community service effort during 4H week and 00:03:25
collected food for the food pantry. I'm guessing in Beaver Dam because that's where the club is. 00:03:31
They're also two times more likely to have the goal of being a leader, and they're two times more likely to report living. 00:03:39
Life with intentionality and purpose. And so that's really exciting to know that those are really focuses of young people. 00:03:47
But then to bring it even closer to home, we do that annual thrive. 00:03:54
Youth study every year and so in order for me to get data from Dodge County, I have to have over 20% of the young people that are 00:03:59
between 13 and 19 in Dodge County. 00:04:05
Complete the survey. 00:04:10
And so that's really exciting because what those young people here in Dodge County said is that 85% of them said they're 00:04:12
passionate about things they do in 4H. 00:04:17
92% agreed that 4H gives them the opportunity to explore something they really care about. 00:04:22
90% said they. 00:04:28
Reporting feeling safe and supported in their 4H programs. 00:04:30
88% said that they feel like they matter. 00:04:34
On Hometown today, but I wanted to share a little bit of of that data and. 00:05:06
I think we're pretty on track. We have about 75 leaders that have already registered in. Last year we had 125 of them. 00:05:11
And so we have. 00:05:17
Kids getting re enrolled and 22 clubs around the county. 00:05:19
And hopefully I did not. I was not successful in finding an AmeriCorps member. 00:05:23
That's one of my challenges here in Dodge County for the whole school year. 00:05:29
Because, you know, I look at most of them are usually college students and they have to be available for 20 some hours a week. 00:05:34
And so if they're off in college, they can't usually do that, but I'm optimistic that we're going to get a young person. 00:05:41
That's interested from she goes to UW Madison but lives in Wapan and Patty and I did the county health fair last week and just to 00:05:48
kind of remind the rest of the department, the rest of the county that extension is available and doing programs and what we have 00:05:54
available and. 00:06:00
I ironically talked to a mom who said. 00:06:06
My daughter we live in Wapan. My daughter comes home every week, every weekend and stays through Monday so. 00:06:08
She's checking out the AmeriCorps program, so hopefully that will be up and running in January and then we can. 00:06:14
Maybe do some after school programs because Horicon is still my. 00:06:20
One area that we don't have a 4H club though. 00:06:24
Members drive, so that's not a problem to come to Juneau or to go. 00:06:27
To, you know, show or wherever it may be so. 00:06:31
So that's what I have for you unless you have questions. 00:06:35
Comment Beaver Damages had a neat project with FFA. 00:06:39
The Rockaroo Coalition funded. 00:06:43
Three cleaning stations. Oh, then Gansky's Beaver Dam FFA class built them. 00:06:45
Then the district installed them. 00:06:52
So you had the FFA in the middle there and they came out very nice. 00:06:53
And. 00:06:57
Things like 25 kids were involved. 00:06:59
Wow that's really exciting because it Gans keys are in 4H but they're in the Fox live Frocks Lake club rather than the Beaver Dam 00:07:01
club so. 00:07:05
All right. Thank you, Marie. Thank you. Have a great day. 00:07:12
We'll see you next month. 00:07:16
Hopefully. 00:07:17
And with some 4H ERS later this year, I have a couple of key award. Yeah, when is that? In February? 00:07:19
No, we tried to do December or January. I'm still having conversations with county clerk and. 00:07:24
Dave to find out which. 00:07:31
When works and they're like, well, what works for the kids because one of the boys is at Iowa State. 00:07:33
So if it's. 00:07:39
If these on break. 00:07:40
In December, I think we'll be doing that, but otherwise, January, no, I think that's our time to shine to the county board and I, 00:07:42
I, you know, I think this, I think if you get some visuals showing and how many kids are involved in this yet? 00:07:47
Before the person, give yourself 30 seconds to at least show the 630 kids you don't, you know, I mean, because I don't know if the 00:07:53
county board realizes there's that many. 00:07:57
People. 00:08:01
When you're showing the. 00:08:02
You know the key, of course our winner, of course we want to present them, but I just that's your time to shine exactly every year 00:08:03
so. 00:08:06
Well, and it'll be exciting because. 00:08:10
The one. 00:08:12
The one young person is currently serving as a state FFA officer this year. And I invited him if he could come tonight and he's 00:08:13
going to help teach the presidents and. 00:08:17
Do kind of a get a kind of an opening event for the club. 00:08:23
Officers tonight, so that'll be good too. 00:08:27
All right. Thank you. See then. 00:08:30
OK. 00:08:31
Agency. OK. So the agencies, are they laid off, do you know, or they're still on furlough or whatever you want to call it? OK. 00:08:34
OK. So the two guys are not going to be here today? 00:08:42
Move to wildlife crop. 00:08:47
Damage. 00:08:48
Whoops. Well, I'm sorry. 00:08:49
Yeah, you didn't know that's what Mike's here for. Oh, Mike is OK, Mike. 00:08:51
I guess the first two. 00:09:00
Pages are next year's budget. 00:09:01
They look a little bit different, but one is basically the federal. 00:09:04
Breakdown and one is state breakdown. 00:09:07
The the number we're actually approving today is the $60,958.33 that includes $10,000 for deer donation processing. 00:09:10
And $1000 to the county for county admin costs. 00:09:20
Federal cost share. 00:09:24
We'd put 8181 and dollars and $0.69. 00:09:26
Towards that budget. 00:09:30
Is there any? 00:09:32
Any questions? Anybody see anything that? 00:09:34
This is all passed through money for Wildlife Damage abatement and Claims program comes from the DNR and. 00:09:37
Gets paid straight to the crop growers. 00:09:43
Kind of tie the deer donation the third page in with the budget just because it is a line item on the budget. 00:09:57
But you have to sign that as well. 00:10:05
John, is this, is this number in the budget exactly like this or? 00:10:09
No, it's not. It's not the exact amount because. 00:10:14
I have to guesstimate what it is. 00:10:17
But it's flow through money, so it really doesn't matter. 00:10:19
I can always adjust it after the fact. 00:10:24
OK. 00:10:26
And we accept the. 00:10:27
County budget for the wildlife damage. 00:10:29
Reimbursement program. 00:10:32
OK, I'll second, second by then first by. 00:10:35
Supervisor. 00:10:40
Is there any discussion? 00:10:41
Hearing none, those in favor signify by saying aye. 00:10:43
Aye, those opposed. 00:10:46
OK, Thank you. Using me to quick sign this then Yep, I guess there's one more page, the last page there, that's our crop price 00:10:48
proposal for 2025 and that's what. 00:10:52
The farmers would get paid. 00:10:57
For this year's crop damage. 00:11:00
This is a year long average basically from September last year to September this year. 00:11:01
Then essentially a starting point. If you guys want to move them, you're more than welcome to. 00:11:05
If you want to go with. 00:11:10
Look them averages and you can do that as well but. 00:11:11
It's totally up to you. 00:11:14
I don't have a feel for this, John. What is it? 00:11:16
To look like to you, it's fair. 00:11:18
It looks higher than what the market is now, but it's fair. 00:11:20
Many other can you look at it? The numbers look OK. 00:11:25
I don't have a feel for it. I just want you guys to check it. Lisa, do you have anything on that? 00:11:27
It's an average. 00:11:32
Actual payments, so I would go with that. 00:11:34
OK, All right. I need a motion to approve these council move. OK, John. 00:11:36
Second, Ken. Second, any further discussion? 00:11:41
Hearing none, those in favor signify by saying aye, aye those opposed. 00:11:44
Thank you. 00:11:49
Sign these for you? Is that me? Do I sign both of these? 00:11:51
There is two more. Yeah, Yep. 00:11:54
Who? 00:11:58
Who made the motion on the first one? John? First one was for Lisa. Lisa. 00:12:00
Lisa made the motion who seconded that. Thank you. 00:12:05
No, no, no, no. 00:12:09
Thank you. 00:12:13
Thank you. 00:12:16
OK, thanks. 00:12:19
All right, Senior sign right where it says county, Yes, right, OK. 00:12:21
I'm sorry, Mike, I don't. We don't work with you too often, so. 00:12:28
I saw you had a couple things on here. 00:12:33
25. 00:12:38
And Mike, after you get the other signatures, can you send me a copy please? 00:12:39
5 here and then. 00:12:48
This one OK. 00:12:51
20. 00:13:00
By. 00:13:01
OK. We are all set. Thank you so much. Thank you. 00:13:09
Thanks, Mike. 00:13:12
OK, fire land. 00:13:18
Preservation updates. We have two non compliance. 00:13:22
Yeah, we have two notices and non compliance. These are both voluntarily. They want to get out of the program. 00:13:24
Totals. 00:13:31
I had somewhere. 00:13:34
About 158 acres total. 00:13:36
So Gordon E. 00:13:39
And Tory Straus. 00:13:41
From. 00:13:43
Waterloo. 00:13:44
That's where they're from, but we're Old Portland. 00:13:45
So they just. 00:13:48
Don't think the money's good enough to do nutrient management? Well, one of them, the gentleman, is in a home. 00:13:50
And the kids don't want anything to do with the other one, the renter. 00:13:58
Just want to. 00:14:01
Follow through with the Nutrient Management plan. 00:14:03
How many? How many acres Ballpark here is between the two of them, It's about 158 acres. 00:14:09
OK, do we need to make a motion for each one? 00:14:17
You can do it together as one. 00:14:20
OK, OK, I need a motion to. 00:14:21
Issue these two notices of non compliance. 00:14:27
You have a motion. 00:14:31
Do you guys want to see these? Do you want more details? Do you want to see him? 00:14:32
Do you? Are you getting our approval for the to send another notice? I thought you said two notices already. 00:14:36
There's two individuals. 00:14:41
OK so I'm asking for your approval to approve the notices and non compliance. 00:14:43
Set sent a notice? If not, I thought you sent. No, this is voluntary. 00:14:50
Yeah. So these two came to the county and said we don't want to be in it. 00:14:55
It's it's it's confusing because it's the same form that goes whether we're kicking them out or they want to get out. Got it. 00:14:58
We're not kicking them out. These guys came to the county and said we don't want to be in it anymore, but they still have to get a 00:15:03
notice, correct. Did you guys want to? 00:15:07
See the details, I can pass it around. 00:15:12
No the folders. I don't think it's necessary but. 00:15:14
OK, I need a motion then to I'll make a motion. 00:15:18
OK, can we has a motion to approve these No2 notices of non compliance and if I don't the motion needs put the two names? 00:15:21
I Cheryl, you could put the two names in just to make sure we're. 00:15:29
OK, do we have a second? 00:15:33
John, Lisa. OK, Lisa, you're up first. OK, so. 00:15:36
Lisa was second. Any further discussion on these notices? Voluntary notices? 00:15:40
And those in favor signify by saying aye. 00:15:46
Aye, those opposed. 00:15:48
OK. And then these I just I can sign after right? Yep. 00:15:50
And then Cheryl, I also need the minutes I didn't get. They were not in here. 00:15:53
For John and I to sign OK after the meeting. Yeah, he's getting notes be so don't leave. 00:15:57
Until we click sign them. 00:16:02
OK. All right. 00:16:03
Approved membership for National Association of Conservation Districts. Isn't it in our budget? 00:16:07
It's in our budget, but their renewal comes this time of the year instead of the beginning of the year like our other memberships 00:16:12
are. 00:16:16
OK, so. 00:16:19
Basically. 00:16:22
We can. 00:16:23
Be a member and donate whatever we want. 00:16:24
The amount and they have brackets in here, Contributor, bronze, platinum all the way up there. 00:16:27
We've been giving them $100 the last two years. 00:16:33
You can. 00:16:37
Give them 3000 if you want to do that because they they say you can. 00:16:38
This is our national organization. 00:16:44
National National Association of Conservation Districts. 00:16:46
Wisconsin is unique and different from the other states because all the other states have what they call conservation districts, 00:16:51
which cover. 00:16:55
4568. 00:16:59
Township. Our counties. 00:17:02
Wisconsin's the only one that has a land conservation department in each individual county. 00:17:04
OK, so. 00:17:10
Wisconsin is also the lowest. 00:17:12
State. 00:17:15
Membership to. 00:17:16
So all right. But we've given them $100 the last couple years prior to that. 00:17:17
We have not been a member with them for. 00:17:24
1215 years. 00:17:29
So I think we should be members. 00:17:31
We before we went in on this. 00:17:32
Initially we went on this because. 00:17:35
It's not like $100 is going to make their budget, but that they can add as many of their membership they as you know, that gives 00:17:39
them greater lobbying power and all of that lobbying on a federal level clearly helps us, whatever they get. 00:17:47
So agree. 00:17:55
And we have it. We have the money in our budget. Yeah, I budgeted 100. Yeah, So let's. 00:17:56
All right. 00:18:02
We have a motion. Do we need a motion or we have to do anything? Yeah. 00:18:04
I would I would give you a motion for it. 00:18:08
Also move OK. 00:18:10
John, first we have a second. 00:18:12
I'll second it. OK, Ben, second. 00:18:14
Any further discussion? 00:18:16
All those in favor, see just 400 bucks, right? Yeah. 00:18:18
OK, all those in favor signify by saying aye aye. 00:18:21
Those opposed. 00:18:24
OK. 00:18:26
Wildlife. 00:18:29
Damage program, Yeah, what what Mike was just here our third quarter wildlife damage program bill came in, it's a $6964.14, so. 00:18:32
Just need your approval to request reimbursement on that. 00:18:44
Yep. Work plan. Annual work plan. 00:18:47
I need your approval on. I need #10 first. 00:18:51
I'll move that we approve the third quarter reimbursement request for wildlife damage program. 00:18:55
OK. 00:19:00
We have a second. 00:19:02
I'll second. 00:19:03
Hey, Ken. Second, those in favor signify by saying aye aye opposed. 00:19:05
OK. 00:19:10
All right, update on the annual work plan. 00:19:16
OK. I presented that to you last year last month. 00:19:20
And. 00:19:23
Lisa had requested that. 00:19:25
We revise it to show percentages. 00:19:27
To match what our land and water plan says. 00:19:30
But our land and water plan actually has acres. 00:19:33
Because I looked in there and those no, no, it's not percents. 00:19:37
It's, it's flat acres because that that's it's where I got my numbers from my land from the annual work plan from. 00:19:41
When you look in there for. 00:19:48
So you must have picked a number of acres that was equal to 10% because that's what we agreed on. 00:19:56
Well, I'll give you an example. Goal one, protect and improve quality of Dodge County's groundwater resources. 00:20:06
Item 2 is promote farmer adoption, implement 16,500 new acres of nutrient management plans, 5000 new acres of cover crops and 3000 00:20:13
new acres of reduced tillage annually. 00:20:19
So. 00:20:25
I mean, it's, it's all acres in here. It's not. 00:20:27
Percent. So that's where the annual work plan comes from. 00:20:30
So that's from the 10 year plan. 00:20:34
Yep. All right. Well, that must have been the 10% then because we talked about the 10:20. 00:20:36
Whatever. Then we went back to 10. 00:20:42
So. 00:20:44
My question is. 00:20:45
That was. 00:20:48
What was it 15,000 new acres or 15116 thousand 516,000? 00:20:50
So. 00:20:57
How many acres are in the program? 00:20:58
160,000. 00:21:01
Yeah, somewhere there, maybe a little less. That's 10%. 00:21:05
16116 thousand that's where you OK? Well. 00:21:09
If it is but this this does, that's fine. So did you put the increase of? 00:21:13
So you just in that last thing you put the number in, right? 00:21:18
Yeah, so. 00:21:21
Can you at least tell us? 00:21:23
You know, because I'm not going to be here for five more years, right? So when they do their 10 year plan. 00:21:25
Right, you could. 00:21:31
Just take. 00:21:34
You see what I'm saying? 00:21:35
They're going to see anchors ago. Did that meet our plan? 00:21:37
I guess it did because they can just look at the total. 00:21:42
They should just look at whether the 16,000 I do and I do have a follow up I do. I do an annual report to them every year. Let's 00:21:46
them know where we where we are with stuff. 00:21:52
And then there's a five year. 00:21:59
Review. 00:22:01
Which the date has already been set for. 00:22:03
It's 2027 February 2027. 00:22:06
Where we have to go through OK. 00:22:11
What's our plan, say, what have we done for the last five years and we have to actually go to the Land and Water Board and present 00:22:14
it to them? 00:22:17
So so. 00:22:21
Your annual plan is already done. 00:22:22
For 25. 00:22:25
Right. I gave you 25 so you guys could all see what we're doing while we're talking about it, the one for 26 won't be due until. 00:22:26
It's the same same date as the annual plan. It's either February or March. 00:22:36
Well, I'd like to talk about this along with 14 when we get down to there just for a second, if that'd be OK with you. OK. 00:22:41
When you give us our update to our thoughts on going forward. 00:22:48
Yes, sure. 00:22:51
OK. 00:22:53
Any other questions on the update? 00:22:55
Of the plan, this is a follow up. 00:22:57
OK, update committee and process for up. 00:23:00
Updating the manure storage, we talked about that last month. 00:23:03
About that cup coming for next year or is that you said it's a process, right? It's a yeah, I process. 00:23:06
Lisa Trumbull. 00:23:12
Was the lady that used to work with this and then she retired? 00:23:14
So there's a Jennifer that's. 00:23:18
Filled her position now, so I did talk with her and I did go through and look at. 00:23:20
The process that we updated in 2007. 00:23:27
It's a little different, or it can be or it can be the same, a little different than our land and water plan. 00:23:33
There you get SIS and advisory committees where I I try to get lake people, business people, farmers, cash, green dairy. 00:23:40
And we sit down, we have several meetings and go through and revise the land and water plan. 00:23:48
We also did a survey that we sent out to the public. 00:23:52
To get their input, the townships and that. 00:23:56
A nurse storage ordinance. You can do it that way, but you're not required to do it that way. 00:24:00
The last time. 00:24:04
When we revised it in 2007. 00:24:06
Basically, from what I could see, there were three committee members. 00:24:09
Mark and myself that that did the revision. Mark went to the committee and said this is what our current plan says. I think we 00:24:14
should update this and this. 00:24:19
And we had a few meetings and. 00:24:24
That that's the process that we took then. 00:24:26
We can do it the same way this time around. 00:24:30
We can get the citizen advisory committee. 00:24:33
She did look. 00:24:37
Look through our plan. 00:24:38
And gave me a couple recommendations that you know you're you're kind of lacking here. You could update this. Is it necessary? No. 00:24:40
It's 11 caution she made is to make sure whatever you update. 00:24:49
That your staff. 00:24:55
Can handle that type of workload. 00:24:57
And if you look at. 00:25:01
Ordinances from different counties there there. 00:25:03
Really extreme. 00:25:06
To even a little more lacks than we are. 00:25:07
So I mean, they're, they're all over the board. 00:25:10
We're not out of, are we out of compliance? It's not compliance, no, it's just to update. It's our ordinance where the legislative 00:25:14
body, right. So we haven't updated. 00:25:19
Almost 20 years. And John's been saying for years, like we do need to do updates. He's been saying that over and over. Senate 00:25:24
process takes months to do this. Yeah. Yeah, it'll take a few months. All right. Could we then? 00:25:30
Also bring that up when we get to 14. 00:25:37
Sure. 00:25:40
OK. All right. Any other questions on that? 00:25:41
Well, if the statutes change for manure storage. 00:25:45
In 20 years. 00:25:49
Probably the standards the that you design it around have changed. 00:25:51
But our ordinance has. 00:25:56
The NRCS Standard 313 is the Manure Storage Structure Ordinance. 00:25:59
But our is the standard, the specs. 00:26:04
Our ordinance says. 00:26:08
References 313. 00:26:09
And any future updates? So basically we're covered on that. 00:26:11
And so. 00:26:16
Otherwise. 00:26:18
You might be updating this like, every six months because there's multiple standards that fit in there and they're always being 00:26:19
looked at and revised. Yeah. 00:26:23
And if somebody looks back to see if they're in compliance, right, they got to do legislative research to go and find what the 00:26:28
updates are, which is why you update to the most recent standard. 00:26:32
Which is why John said we do need to update. Agrees. I don't do. I don't know. I don't disagree. I agree. Yeah. 00:26:37
I agree. 00:26:42
So we do have to reference the more current. 00:26:43
Standards, right? Because if you read it, if you even got it and looked at it right, and you'd say, oh. 00:26:46
313 and then you went there, you're like, what the hell that's. 00:26:51
Not even this anymore. And how are you going to find update like? 00:26:54
It's not fair to who's ever. 00:26:58
Subject to this. 00:27:00
Or whatever engineer. 00:27:01
They hireright. 00:27:03
They got to go do research to see what standard it is. 00:27:06
So. 00:27:10
No, it makes sense. 00:27:11
I think that's a direction we're headed I think for now and then we'll. 00:27:19
Talk about that again at 14 so. 00:27:25
Any other we'll talk about. I think the committee agrees we want to do that and it's how we're going to get there next year, I 00:27:27
think, or starting as soon as we can. 00:27:32
I I think that's the thought here is that unless there's any. 00:27:36
Difference from the committee. I think that's the direction we want to go. We want to get this done. 00:27:39
Let's go to Vehicle Update. 00:27:44
OK. 00:27:46
I put in the. 00:27:49
The budget for a new vehicle. 00:27:50
So I thought I'd. 00:27:53
Give you an update. We put new tires on our. 00:27:54
Ford Explorer. That's the police squad. 00:27:57
And had them put in and then. 00:28:00
I took it into getting alignment done. 00:28:03
And they said they couldn't do the alignment because the lower ball joints were bad. It was making noise when we drove it the the 00:28:06
inner. 00:28:10
Inner bearing of one of the half shafts. 00:28:15
Is bad the rear? 00:28:19
Shocks were bad. 00:28:21
So with the tires and well. 00:28:22
The extra work was 13125 dollars. 00:28:26
Plus the tires. So total we spent $2071 on that thing in the last. 00:28:30
Month. 00:28:35
We couldn't even align it. 00:28:36
Yeah, we have a good reason. The reason I asked John to bring it up is that obviously we have our budget. 00:28:38
Next. 00:28:43
Couple months and we have in there the. 00:28:44
The dollar amount for. 00:28:46
The new vehicle. 00:28:48
While we were unable to get a vehicle this year, Is that correct? 00:28:50
Yep, I just wanted. 00:28:53
I think it'd be more prudent for our county. I think the committee. 00:28:54
Obviously it already passed our budget, but. 00:28:57
We thought it'd be 41,000 but I think you put in like 46 right? 00:29:00
We got 3. 00:29:04
Bids. The lowest one was 40,000, the highest one was 5758 thousand. 00:29:06
I put in, I think it was 56,000 in the budget. 00:29:13
We're still we'll look if we get 6 grand for the other one. 00:29:18
Yeah. That we're gonna sell. OK, got it. Yep. Yeah, so I think. 00:29:21
I just. 00:29:26
What might happen has happened. Other times is the day of the budget. 00:29:27
Someone will try to take the vehicle out and I want to be prepared to argue. And if you're you'll be there that day. 00:29:31
That we have to reference you, That we're not really saving money. 00:29:36
By getting a vehicle that is 150,000 miles. 00:29:40
Yeah, it's it's not saving our county money. 00:29:44
As a Pope, we and plus we have to spoke. 00:29:47
Do an inner. 00:29:49
Inter county transfer of $8000 right? 00:29:50
Yeah, do that correct. 00:29:52
So. 00:29:54
Buying a new truck at 41,000 that'll last at least 10 years is an incredible deal. 00:29:55
I think for our county plus. 00:30:01
Plus, as we know, when we go places doesn't look like. 00:30:03
Garbage employees aren't driving garbage. 00:30:06
So I I just want you to be prepared. 00:30:10
For those arguments should that. 00:30:13
Happen so I want to talk about it for a second. So well, you could just make a note to. 00:30:15
You know that we just dropped 3000 on maintenance. They couldn't even align it because the ball bearings are bad. 00:30:20
And and and and we and we were unable to get a vehicle that. 00:30:25
We were promised. 00:30:30
Yeah, and that was further 24. 00:30:32
It doesn't save money, doesn't save money. 00:30:35
Yeah. So, OK. 00:30:38
OK. 00:30:39
Any other questions on vehicle update? 00:30:41
All right, staffing update. Go ahead, John. 00:30:44
OK. 00:30:46
I had talked to Cameron last week, he was going to have a meeting with HR Tanya up in HR. 00:30:49
And then they were going to get together to discuss the process of. 00:30:56
Filling my position in. 00:31:01
I've talked about before, but I did turn in my official notice as all you all know. 00:31:03
I turned it in so December 10th is my last day. 00:31:07
So only have one more committee meeting with them. 00:31:10
Oh my God, yeah. 00:31:12
That's why I wanted to talk about those other two things he did. It's another check mark. Yeah, I know, I know, I know. Life goal. 00:31:14
Get off the I know. So still so, yeah. So I did call Tonya and HR this morning. 00:31:20
They did meet. They did talk. 00:31:28
Camera needs to fill out a requisition form and then she can post it out there. 00:31:30
However, I believe you're all also aware that Brian Fields turned in his retirement, and since he is. 00:31:36
Going to be gone in a couple weeks. That is taking priority right now as it should. 00:31:42
That is a huge position over there. 00:31:46
So. 00:31:49
They they are working on it. 00:31:51
Once. Once everything is done, I. 00:31:53
I'll provide. 00:31:57
I'm gonna send Tanya the e-mail for. 00:31:58
The land and water. 00:32:00
So she can also post it statewide through all my. 00:32:02
Other counterpart offices and that stuff so. 00:32:05
Yeah, and I did talk to Cameron be right before the meeting and we're on track and they're going to get it posted. He figures 00:32:08
it'll take a month to get applications approx. It's a process, not going to go overnight. 00:32:13
The only thing I didn't ask them is if the what does temporary plans are so hopefully by the next committee meeting, you know, 00:32:17
like. 00:32:20
How we can operate when you're gone, right? 00:32:24
Now I know initially he had said that he wanted to fill the position before I left, so there's some crossover. 00:32:26
But then at last month's management Council meeting, Tanya also said that. 00:32:35
Because of Thanksgiving holiday being a Thursday and Friday, that would be their first. 00:32:41
Start date and nobody's here to onboard them so. 00:32:46
Their first two days of work would be a paid holidays. 00:32:51
So I don't know how that's going to work. 00:32:54
But that that was Cameron's intent, was to have somebody on board here. 00:32:56
A couple weeks, but I am also. 00:33:01
Going to Florida. 00:33:04
The first week of December, so. 00:33:06
Them two weeks I would be gone, one of them two weeks anyway so. 00:33:08
OK, so I'd like to reference back to item. 00:33:13
Sorry, go ahead. 00:33:17
Do you know for sure if it's going to be the first week and then you're going to come back and work, or is it just going to be the 00:33:18
second week? 00:33:21
When I'm, when I'm on vacation, yeah. 00:33:24
I know it's the first week of December, so like the 1st through the 7th and then you're going to be back for a couple. 00:33:26
Wednesday, yeah, because things got to line up with pay periods. Now it's not. 00:33:35
A random start. 00:33:40
Stop. So it's through November. 00:33:42
And then a week. And then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Yep. 00:33:44
OK, so next month we'll. 00:33:47
To be sure to talk. 00:33:50
Base of the camera and what what his plan is. 00:33:51
Because we can have something. 00:33:53
Also so. 00:33:58
Back just for a minute, back to those other two things. We're talking about the annual work plan. 00:34:00
And the update on the manure storage, So I would like to get, I know you're not going to be doing those, but I would. 00:34:05
I would like to when we hire somebody new. 00:34:11
I think it would be. 00:34:14
Prudent for us to maybe. 00:34:15
In the first after we hired them in the first few months, maybe go over our 10 year plan just at the meeting just to like go over 00:34:17
it our goals and what we're. 00:34:20
What are we would go over? You mean? Yeah, when we have our new person come on board? I'm just thinking in my head because you 00:34:24
talked about following up with the work plan here, I think. 00:34:28
I think that's a great idea. But that's like, really big, big, big picture. Yeah. I think what they really need is like, here's 00:34:32
how to do my job. 00:34:36
Right, because it's not related to the in your plan and. 00:34:40
You you do a lot of different things. Like have you ever written up your own job description? 00:34:43
Because if you read your job description. 00:34:49
It's probably less than what you do. Have you looked at it? Yeah, I helped write it when when I got. 00:34:51
On board because I was interned for almost a year because of Mark being sick, right? 00:34:57
So yeah, I helped. I helped him write it so. 00:35:02
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, I just, I was just thinking as I thought about this. I thought, you 00:35:35
know. 00:35:38
We because what you were saying about the acres, well, your point was well taken. Well, there's a lot of other things. 00:35:41
Let's talk. Let's have a little conversation about. 00:35:46
The plan and the things we're looking for and then yes detail two of the work, but I was just thinking in my head out loud like 00:35:48
you were saying about the acre percentage because I know what you were going back to goals. Well, let's. 00:35:53
We look at that, that you know, and that's what that's all I was saying and then the manure storage and we want to obviously get 00:35:58
that. I don't know if you can get that started now. 00:36:02
I mean, he can, we might and then that's a big thing. That's but we need to go through a process and probably have the persons, 00:36:06
but those are things I'm that's why we're gonna go ahead. 00:36:11
It's gonna be a big involvement, Port Council, because they're the ones who are actually revising the statue. But I didn't want 00:36:15
you to guys, to think that we were not addressing those issues. We will, but the timing. 00:36:20
So that may take that process from the newer storage may take six months or something, right, It could. 00:36:27
So your your annual work plan is basically based off of your land and water plan. 00:36:31
So that's pretty simple. I mean straightforward. I mean, to be honest, the last couple years I copied and pasted most of it. 00:36:37
OK. 00:36:44
Your manure storage ordinance. I would highly recommend you wait until the new person gets on board OK, because depending on who 00:36:46
they are, where they come from. 00:36:51
They may have. 00:36:56
A different. 00:36:57
Perspective. 00:36:59
Different. 00:37:01
Vision. 00:37:03
Than what I have. 00:37:04
So if I started writing something in there now. 00:37:05
They may say that was a waste of time. 00:37:09
So I would recommend that that part at least be be put off until the new person's on board. 00:37:13
I think, yeah, that's fine. Yep. What I plan to do is I'm I've been slowly working through, I've been going through files, I've 00:37:18
been going through my computer. They don't need this still that **** out. 00:37:24
I've been doing that. 00:37:30
I do plan on also going through everything that I do like, like the Swarm grant. 00:37:33
Just. 00:37:38
Right up a little thing. When's it do? How do you, how do you write it, you know, and how do you get the reimbursement? 00:37:39
What's all involved with it? 00:37:45
Do the same thing with land and water plan with the. 00:37:47
Wildlife damage with the farmer LED group. Cheryl's been taking a lot of stuff over with the farmer LED group. She's been taking 00:37:52
stuff over on our tree sale program. 00:37:56
So so can I ask? 00:38:01
That's what I was asking when I said your. 00:38:03
Description. 00:38:07
I'm asking you could almost do it because you type it up all the time, but I'm asking for the description. 00:38:11
Beyond the job description, it's basic workload. 00:38:18
No, but the specifics right apply for swarm grant wildlife damage. 00:38:21
Tree sales, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Might be good to have a calendar to like is to flow. Yep, I do have a flow calendar 00:38:26
already put up Mark stars something a while back and I've kind of advanced it. And so in January, you do this and this and this, 00:38:32
right? February you do this. So I do already have that. I I want to break it down. 00:38:38
In more detail that would be great. That's. 00:38:45
What the new person needs, because that's not in the job description. 00:38:47
In the chart, Cheryl know where things are. 00:38:51
And and like I said, I'm I'm not moving away from the area until problem marks. So I'm around if they need something then they 00:38:55
I'll give them a phone number. I don't care. We'll take our calls. 00:39:00
Not yours, not mine, he's saying. Now he says he'll take their glass extension. Guys won't take my calls. I asked the question. 00:39:06
Jeff. 00:39:15
Won't take my call. I had a quick question. Hoffman, that was our. 00:39:17
We'll take my call. 00:39:21
Retirement. Yeah, yeah, I know. But. 00:39:25
Come on, we're we're also. 00:39:29
Friends. I mean, we work together, we know each other. He's like, not close enough. 00:39:31
I thought he was. It's like, it's like heart to heart talks. I'll always be there for you. 00:39:38
No, I'm sorry. 00:39:44
Sorry, it did. Kind of. 00:39:46
I'm just kidding. 00:39:49
No, but he gave me some heart to heart talks. It's like really whatever, OK, I'm just asking where something was and how we did 00:39:50
something and because. 00:39:54
Anyway. 00:39:59
OK. But we appreciate that if you mean this well, you'll answer our call. 00:40:01
I'm like he's going to be in like whatever. Some we're going to be splitting wood up northern. I don't remember. I don't get cell 00:40:07
phone. 00:40:11
No cell phone. 00:40:18
And I and I actually don't. 00:40:19
I have to walk up onto the road to get my cell phone reception. 00:40:21
That's so funny. 00:40:29
All right. Tonight in front of your job, you don't have staff support on where you may do it independently? 00:40:32
So you're the only person touching that document, or? 00:40:41
Which one? 00:40:44
Well, I mean, wildlife damage. I do that by myself, the swarm grant. I do that by myself. This staff is aware of it, Yeah. 00:40:47
No, no, not really. I let them do their work outside. 00:40:55
Do you have access? 00:40:59
See what I mean? Like. 00:41:01
You're not on the cloud, right? 00:41:03
Well, let's say, OK, I mean is the county storage, I thought the county storage moved to the cloud. 00:41:05
No, I'm on here. 00:41:10
I know. But what is that doesn't go to the cloud, that goes to the well, whatever the county does, I don't know. It goes wherever 00:41:12
there. 00:41:15
And if she has the password, she doesn't need your computer. It's not on your drive. 00:41:20
What happened when? When? 00:41:25
Mark got sick and I became the interim. 00:41:27
They they gave me access to his emails and all his files. 00:41:31
So I was able to go in there and figure stuff out. 00:41:36
And I've also got a list. 00:41:39
A full page sheet of phone numbers hanging on my wall. 00:41:41
Of people that's. 00:41:45
Dat cap, whoever that I call for questions. So that's there. And I tell you what, I spent a lot of time on the phone. 00:41:47
Talking to. 00:41:55
County Cons in Columbia County, Kirk was on speed dial. 00:41:56
Of Green Lake County was on speed, Dale Fond du Lac and then all the dad cat personnel. 00:42:01
They're more than willing to to help you in any way they can. 00:42:06
Finance and HR helped me out a lot when I. 00:42:10
Come on, because I didn't know none of that stuff. 00:42:13
OK, but. 00:42:19
But will she have access to your files? Some somebody will I mean if if I am not. 00:42:20
If I'm not replaced before I leave, somebody will have access to it. If I'm replaced before I leave, that person will have access 00:42:26
to it. OK. 00:42:30
So yes, it'll be available for somebody. 00:42:34
Kurt from Columbia County is one of the smartest guys I've ever met. 00:42:38
And so I'm sure he'd be. 00:42:42
A huge help. Oh yeah, to a new person because he's very generous. 00:42:44
Yeah. 00:42:48
OK. 00:42:51
Any other on conservation staffing? I do want to talk about extension staffing. It says staffing on here, just I didn't do it when 00:42:52
Marie was here because she was doing the way our the way our agenda was. I got the notice of resignation from Pat Malone. 00:42:59
On in her last day will be November 7th. She's our educator for the community development and her. 00:43:07
Position was eliminated at the end of the year, so it really won't affect us. So it'll be about. 00:43:11
Seven weeks earlier than we had thought. 00:43:16
So that won't affect us that much, but I just wanted you to be aware of that. 00:43:19
The other the other updates in extension are. 00:43:23
Cindy is retiring. She she could make it today. 00:43:27
Umm, she's in another county, another meeting cow. 00:43:31
That's a lot. So she she is long time planning to retire. 00:43:34
Last month. 00:43:39
At convention September I met with Jeremy, her boss and and I will meet him next week, actually the W. 00:43:40
See a extension committee meets next week in person, so I will. 00:43:48
Talked to him in person. 00:43:52
They they when I first talked to him about. 00:43:53
When Cindy told me this, like in August, it was planned with her planned retirement for a long time, I said that they plan and. 00:43:56
Replace the position and then with all the funding and flux, he didn't know if they were going to do that, they were going to 00:44:02
maybe combine more together or something. 00:44:05
But umm. 00:44:09
As of last month. 00:44:09
Dean Martin, I believe, is going to replace the position. 00:44:11
Without, with, with only like 4 counties instead of like 8 counties or, you know, whatever they're going to do, I don't know. But 00:44:16
anyway. 00:44:19
I don't, so we may be without one of those too. 00:44:22
Next week I'll get a update from Jeremy. 00:44:26
But according to Jeremy, last month when I talked to him, he said. 00:44:29
That they were going to fund the position. 00:44:32
That's awesome. I'm very happy that you are following up. So I am doing with extension. That's great because they you know, we get 00:44:35
all this info and they're doing such a great job and now they're just like. 00:44:40
Yeah. And we'll, we'll. 00:44:47
Well, kind of like we did with this, we'll next year when we get the new person we'll probably have to go through. 00:44:50
Plan also there left explore. We'll alternate the meeting so that we're not just planning the whole meetings. That'll be too much. 00:44:56
But we will probably have to do the same thing again with that. But we are, yeah, we're starting with no, nobody. 00:45:02
Was up front with us when she started that. It was going to be a very short term. 00:45:09
And she's like super great. 00:45:13
But alright, so that's the that's all the updates I have on on that. 00:45:15
OK, OK, I guess that's it. Committee reports. 00:45:22
I'm LSID. 00:45:26
Our meeting last week it kind of interesting. We're doing a bunch of projects what we're finally doing next year. 00:45:29
Tonight, we didn't think of this, the committee didn't think of this. We're going to have a lot of dollars flowing through for our 00:45:35
shoreline. 00:45:38
We're doing mapping and then we're getting the bids for the dredging project. 00:45:42
But those are a lot of dollars, just those items, a couple $100,000, well the insurance. 00:45:46
Our insurance is going to increase. 00:45:51
For our little municipality like. 00:45:53
Like 700 bucks because of that. 00:45:56
Because of what again? 00:45:58
Because we're increasing the volume of dollars our budget, because we're doing a couple $100,000 of like we, we waited years and 00:45:59
years and years and then now we're pulling the trigger. 00:46:05
For the shoreline mapping, it's like 80 grand or 100 grand. And then we're doing the dredging projects at 100, so our budgets like 00:46:10
200 grand more or something. 00:46:14
So then all of a sudden we get a renewal for our liability. It's like 700 more than because it's based on volume of dollars. It's 00:46:18
like, oh crap, So we missed that. So just. 00:46:23
I don't think there's anything we can do with this. I just thought I'd tell you that it's something to think about if you ever 00:46:28
doing a big project that your insurance goes up. I didn't think, we didn't think of it. We made our budget up. 00:46:32
OK, like improvements, updating, working on two things are surface water grant, we're applying for a grant to help us with that 00:46:39
for next year, $20,000 from the DNR, they're working with us. 00:46:45
Arthur comes to our meeting every time, so it's working really well. The dredging study, that's the big one. 00:46:52
That's to help us get bids for the dredging up. 00:46:59
By Oxbow Marine and that that is currently under review. 00:47:02
By the vendor and by our consultant Ron French. 00:47:07
And so that those those are the projects that are coming together. 00:47:10
Far as the fish stocking, I thought Bill you'd like to know this. We had, we did it, our fish stocking, we finished it up. We did 00:47:14
370. We we added game fish this year, so we added 300, we did 370 large mouth. 00:47:20
Bass we did 1100 small mouth. 00:47:26
We did 2700 bluegill. Normally we did a lot more bluegill. 00:47:28
But this year we. 00:47:32
We cut that down. The bluegill are reproducing too, we found. We found some other ones, so they are reproducing. 00:47:34
1800 perch and then earlier like a couple months ago we did 750 northern. So we're trying to get more game fish. So that and that 00:47:40
we did with rock. 00:47:44
Coalition with Rock River Rescue. Normally we did 8000 year and this year we did $13,000. 00:47:49
With some partners, people donated from LSID and so that's kind of cool. And then we got a better deal because we partnered with 00:47:55
Rock River Rescue out of Janesville. 00:47:59
So, umm. 00:48:03
Anyway, that's the update there. Umm. 00:48:04
And then Sandy Jones from village of Hucesford came and. 00:48:08
There are a liaison person communicating with us and they will be looking. 00:48:11
For money to replace a couple of peers, one at Nighter Park and the other one in downtown Houston, story they want to update the 00:48:15
Piers. 00:48:19
They wanted to know if we could help them. I I don't think we have any money for that, but we'll help them. 00:48:24
When their fundraising efforts through LSI and probably not LSID, probably the LSA folks more so, but we are obviously. 00:48:28
In favor of improving our launches and that kind of thing. So that's all I have. 00:48:36
14th. 00:48:41
My meeting was on the 14th. 00:48:42
Yes. 00:48:44
The left side of this page is the DNR summary of. 00:48:46
Fish activity. 00:48:49
Where they were. 00:48:51
Managing Trussell Bay Our managing Trussell Bay. 00:48:53
Thank you. 00:48:59
And that is the second year they've been. 00:49:03
Working at Trussville Bay, you'll see their 2024. 00:49:05
Completely. The number is 712 lbs per acre. 00:49:10
So this year it's increased to £752 per acre. 00:49:14
Which is not the desired effect. 00:49:21
On the right side is a graph that shows in the black numbers. 00:49:24
The US. 00:49:28
Fish and Wildlife. 00:49:29
Different points where £89 per acre is the target. 00:49:31
And you reached £268, you have a concern where the official. 00:49:36
Damage to habitat. 00:49:40
And you'll see in 2014 the first red number. 00:49:41
That is the biomass for Beaver Dam Lake. 00:49:46
Back in 2014, three 3/5. 00:49:49
So the 2024 and 2025. 00:49:52
She has increased substantially. 00:49:58
And then when you take the. 00:50:02
Carb plus Buffalo fish. 00:50:04
You have £1198 per acre. 00:50:07
So we'll be looking at that again next year. 00:50:14
We're also starting the first phase at Rakes Bay. 00:50:17
And we had the exceptional support from Corey in the town of Westford. 00:50:21
We needed access to get the test boat out there and they provided a lot of great service. 00:50:26
Helped us out exceptionally well. What are you doing there in Rakes? 00:50:32
We're going to put electrode DNR, it's going to launch their boat. 00:50:36
And there's no other place, so we had to create a ramp to get in there. 00:50:39
And the DNR sweat testing. 00:50:44
There'll be electoral fishing to get a number of fish. 00:50:46
Per acre. 00:50:49
As we did in trestle back. 00:50:50
So if we continue to see this increase. 00:50:54
And we see rates pay increase. We're going to have to ask DNR to reconsider the plan. 00:50:57
So you're getting this data to go back to them, right? Is this data available for the other lakes to Lake Fox Lake, Mountain Lake, 00:51:04
Innocent. No, no. This is their work on the lake over the past two years. 00:51:09
I think they are planning to do significantly next year. 00:51:15
OK for a mass fish population study. 00:51:19
Obviously, our Lake Nation plan calls for increasing and changing the lake for more recreation. So we're obviously in line with 00:51:23
this. So if anything. 00:51:27
Anything we can do, please let me know. 00:51:31
I and then Chris is gone, but Shane. 00:51:33
Shane, I introduced you to him that one meeting if there's something critical. 00:51:36
Maybe e-mail me and him It's also I can follow up with him because he I want him to be present. 00:51:41
That may be useful for the attend one of the next meetings. 00:51:46
To understand what their program is. 00:51:50
Could you e-mail me information when the next Butler next meeting then I'll I'll forward it to Shane to make to follow up with him 00:51:53
because I want him to connect otherwise. 00:51:57
He's a really, really. 00:52:01
Busy guy and I want to make sure that he knows. 00:52:02
Thank you. 00:52:05
Sure. 00:52:06
Second page is a interesting project. 00:52:07
Working with Bill on Deck and Jason Roy. 00:52:10
We're looking at Dirty Park on the West side of Beaver Dam Lake. 00:52:13
And we're going to be adding native plantings to the shoreline there. 00:52:17
And then looking at a Prairie. 00:52:21
The program up in the northeast corner of. 00:52:24
Georgie Park. 00:52:29
So on the right side, it's what we hope to see. 00:52:30
Along the shoreline there. 00:52:32
Right now it's pretty much rubble and weeds. 00:52:34
So this would be a nice nicer place for people to recreate. 00:52:37
To use it as an example of how other people on the lake. 00:52:41
Can bring native plants to the shoreline. 00:52:45
So we made our first walkthrough out there. We measured up the different areas. 00:52:47
So now we're looking at different. 00:52:52
There in rabbit resistant species that put out there. 00:52:54
To have a better probability of success. 00:52:57
And that's all for today. Do you guys do your water sampling through the winter months when there's ice on the lake? 00:53:04
No, we stopped on the lake last month. 00:53:09
And then we'll have one more in the rivers this month. 00:53:13
Mill Creek and Beaver Creek will have one more. 00:53:16
Start up in April. 00:53:19
Yes. 00:53:21
For the rivers and they also go to. 00:53:22
Does that go to swims? 00:53:24
OK. 00:53:25
What do you do with that data, I can ask. 00:53:28
Actually just went through it and I compared the upland area. 00:53:30
To the mouth of the creeks. 00:53:34
Then look at that compared to the in lake water. 00:53:36
The DNR art said that they would they need that data, but we've never done anything with it, so I asked them about that. 00:53:39
And you said they we have to have it for our grants, he said. But it's a good comparison to see where your inputs are coming from. 00:53:45
OK, good point. So then if there's a. 00:53:50
And I don't know. 00:53:54
And our goal or work plan for next year. 00:53:56
You know, I'd like to target certain like if we see one stream as too high a nutrients and do we target the farm for something 00:53:58
there for. 00:54:02
You know, cover crops or you know what I mean. I would like to go to the source. We found that on our, you know. 00:54:06
Beaver. 00:54:12
You're buffering all the way up to Hwy. 73. 00:54:13
Mill Creek, we have one area that's right at the mouth. 00:54:17
That we're looking at. 00:54:20
The past, the trestle, all the way up to Fox Lake. It's buffered. 00:54:21
And then on the shorelines of the lake, we're finding that the producers. 00:54:25
Doing a very good job of. 00:54:29
Controlling what's going into the Creek and in the lake. 00:54:30
OK, so we backtracked to find out where the source may be. 00:54:34
And we're finding some good results. 00:54:38
That's good. Thank you. 00:54:43
OK. And yeah, we'll update us next month on his. 00:54:46
OK. I guess that's it for today by. 00:54:49
Completion of the agenda. I call the meeting. We have preacher agenda items. Oh, I'm sorry. You get two other things. There's 00:54:52
Southern. 00:54:55
All right. I'm sorry, a few more things. November 24th. Is that OK? 00:54:59
Once. Once. When's Thanksgiving is that close? That's the following Thursday. 00:55:03
Is that there? 00:55:07
Following Thursday? No, it's the same week. We have a meeting, committee meeting on Monday and then Thursdays Thanksgiving. 00:55:09
I'm going to find. 00:55:15
Calendar. So you going with you. I will be here. 00:55:16
All right. 00:55:20
Sorry guys. 00:55:23
OK, so wake up Thanksgiving. 00:55:24
Yep, House. 00:55:26
The following week I'm gone so. 00:55:28
Works for me. Anyone. Is everyone OK with that? Just give me a second, sorry. 00:55:30
OK. 00:55:34
November. 00:55:37
24th that week. 00:55:39
So I have the land and water meeting. 00:55:41
And then? 00:55:44
Can everybody else come that day? 00:55:47
I can too. 00:55:50
I'm gonna have company, but they can live. 00:55:51
No, OK. 00:55:54
24. 00:55:57
24th. 00:55:58
24th at 8:30. 00:55:59
Yep, that'll be John's last meeting. 00:56:01
Upcoming events you have Southern Areas Association meeting. 00:56:03
Are you going to be able to attend that? 00:56:06
That's Monday next week. 00:56:09
I wanted to ask you last time we went there, it was kind of a morning meeting. 00:56:10
Yeah, this is an all day. It's two things we can talk offline is all day. 00:56:14
Yeah, I thought it was just a morning meeting. We can talk offline about this. Bye. 00:56:17
Move to adjourn. Sorry, OK. 00:56:22
Well, future agenda items. 00:56:25
Many of you, I think we kind of incorporated them. 00:56:27
Yeah. 00:56:29
OK. All right. 00:56:31
Did we cover those then the future what we. 00:56:32
Well, like John's going to be telling us some a couple things about his leaving and then. 00:56:35
We're not going to really be starting. 00:56:41
You have the plans. 00:56:44
The next meeting. 00:56:46
So the only the big thing will be the update. 00:56:48
Right. That's really, but you don't as far as conservation, is there any big thing happening? 00:56:51
I'll go through and see. You know, I can give you an update to what's been going on this. The only other thing I can think of is 00:56:56
if this if this federal shutdown goes extended. 00:57:01
Yeah. How does that affect our relationship with? 00:57:05
FSA and. 00:57:10
You know, it's just dormant. 00:57:12
It just but, but I mean, I mean like when it comes back, are we gonna have to? 00:57:14
No. 00:57:18
What? What's affecting us now? 00:57:20
Is all the standards and specs we use. 00:57:23
Or on a government website. 00:57:26
That website shut down. 00:57:28
So we can't go on, check the website down, they shut it down. They're not maintaining it. Yes, there's nobody there. 00:57:30
So we've been able to go to the decap engineers and get our information from them. 00:57:36
But right now, that's. 00:57:43
The biggest thing that affects our offices? 00:57:44
Is the website that we used to use all time is shut down? 00:57:48
All of our economic. 00:57:51
Nationwide data is coming out, except for the labor report. That's the only thing coming out. 00:57:53
Is a labor report right that sets interest rates like? 00:57:57
All over the world. So like, you know. 00:57:59
It's not just affecting. 00:58:02
US so it's a great workaround. 00:58:03
Next job. 00:58:07
It might be a short meeting next month then. 00:58:08
So. 00:58:11
All right, I call the meeting adjourned by finishing them. 00:58:12
Completing the agenda. Thank you. I'll quick sign Cheryl, we give me the minutes. 00:58:15
Before you go. 00:58:20
No quick sign this. 00:58:22
